My research team has been working on nondestructive testing and dynamic monitoring of wind turbines since 2013. These include simultaneous deflection measurements of multiple points on a wind-turbine system during operation and maintenance; frequency domain modeling for dynamic characteristics evaluation; and aerial survey and laser scanning of wind turbines for 3-D point cloud analysis. Another focus of my research involves an ongoing project for the automated inspection of building facades and exterior attachment, automated inspection of layered structures, modular vibration monitoring of underground structures, and non-contact optical inspection of structural deformation.
